01
Design more than a catalog
Created for an exhibition in Turin alongside Art Represent, Gli Acrobati and Syria.Art, the project features the work of Noor Bahjat and Yara Said, artists from Damascus. The challenge was to build a publication that would accompany their perspectives on war, displacement and creative force without turning them into a decorative resource.
02
Bringing the artist and the work together
The exploration combined portraiture, illustration and texture to introduce each artist from their own language. The interventions do not compete with the pieces: they create pauses, atmospheres and transitions that prepare the gaze to enter them.
03
An editorial experience
The catalog accompanied meetings, workshops and conversations during the 2017 exhibition. Its materiality made the process visible and turned reading into an experience: a publication designed to sustain other voices and, at the same time, discover one's own.
